EP Naturals™ DEsect® Crop is an insecticide produced from a special grade of fresh-water diatomaceous earth (DE) and is a highly effective insect control solution. DEsect Crop is registered as a pesticide by the US EPA, and can be used in commercial farming. DEsect Crop meets all US requirements for use in organic farms.
The most effective DE insecticide available today.
DEsect Crop is produced from a very unique source of DE that has shown to be more effective than other leading DE insecticides on the market today for killing insects. Independent studies show that DEsect Crop is an excellent insect control product. When insects come in contact with DEsect Crop, it absorbs their protective wax coating and their bodies are damaged by the sharp edges of the particles. DEsect Crop also absorbs the insect's body fluids and they eventually die by dehydration. There is no built-up immunity as there is with chemical insecticides. DEsect Crop does not break down as chemicals do, and the more it is used, the more insects feel unwelcome in the area.
DEsect Crop features:
DEsect Crop is made from a special DE ore deposit which kills insects faster than competing brands of DE, according to testing by an independent entomology laboratory.
DEsect for Crop Use
DEsect Crop is an effective insecticide for crops and orchards. Apply with manual or powered dry dusting applicators or solution application through industrial spray equipment. Starting point for spray solution is approximately 1 lb/gallon of water (can be varied depending on equipment application rate capability). Minimum application rate is 1 lb/1000 ft2 (or approximately 50 lbs/acre). Higher concentrations may be necessary to ensure necessary coverage. Application should result in a thin layer of DEsect Crop covering plants. DEsect Crop adheres well to plant surfaces, however, repeat applications may be necessary following extreme wind and/or rain events.
